Want to know a little more?
So, you know how this works. You’ve probably seen many of these pages already. I will tell you about myself, but preferably only things that are relevant to writing somehow. I’ll keep it short and simple, no deep-diving into childhood or hopes and dreams. Even better, while telling you about myself I’ll also include how I could help you and your clients generate more revenue.
For the scanners out there (and I’m assuming that’s most of you), who don’t want to waste time getting to know some random writer. I’ve included my main characteristics in bold. For an even quicker read. Evidently, these qualities are exactly what I bring to the table should you choose to work with me. What a coincidence.
Now that we’ve exchanged pleasantries and expectations.. Let me introduce myself. Hi, my name is Michou. I am a Netherlands-based freelance writer with a knack for observing and analysing human behaviour. This comes in quite handy being a writer.
I studied Social Work in Amsterdam. After graduating I decided not to pursue a career with a stable income, but instead become a freelance content- and copywriter with no form of certainty whatsoever.
When I’m not writing I enjoy dancing, travelling, learning new things and reading. I’ve worked two years in sales, holding a managing position. This means that I’m not only a professional in human behaviour. I also know exactly how to influence and persuade said humans based on literary research in the psychological field.
I write mostly short stories when I’m not working on client projects. The one’s I’m proudest of I publish on the blog-part of this site. Which I called ‘writing portfolio’, like a true professional.
I look forward to a challenge and like to be pulled out of my comfort zone.
I enjoy deadlines, work well under pressure and I am a teamplayer. I’m not sure how I can toot my own horn any further, so I’ll continue with some downsides to me.
There aren’t any! I’m not going to bring myself down here. But to be honest, like many writers I can get in my own head sometimes. Which is why I like feedback and deadlines.
The last thing I’ll leave you with: I am a big chocolate-fan. But really, who isn’t?
Hope you’ve somewhat enjoyed this page.
If I’ve convinced you enough to reach out, why don’t you tell me something about you?
